When CKCS, LLC is contacted regarding crisis situations, we provide a crisis service that responds to children and adults experiencing a severe emotional or behavioral disturbance or psychiatric emergency, including but not limited to the following:
- Suicidal thoughts or threats of suicide
- Self-injury
- Aggressive behavior
- Threat to harm others
- Depression
- Severe emotional upset or inability to care for daily needs
- Overwhelming confusion
- Overwhelming anxiety or panic attacks
We will assess the level of risk, provide crisis support by phone and may go directly to the person in crisis to intervene and stabilize the situation.
If our office is called, or a therapist is contacted, potential clients will hear the message “If this is an emergency, please call 911” or “Go to the nearest emergency room”. If we are unable to assist clients in their emergency, we will call Family & Children’s Services COPES program on behalf of potential clients.
